Avalon's history

In 1967 Ray Wilson first began delighting customers with imported products they'd only dreamt of. In the early 1990's Ray's son Grahame and daughter Jeannette joined the business bringing a background in software support, design & retail merchandising experience. The company grew to incorporate toys, craft and activity kits, souvenirs and promotional goods. 

In 2020, as world trade contracted following COVID-19, Avalon innovated again, enlarging its distribution to even more of New Zealand's leading retailers in multiple categories. with tight budgets everywhere, we source value brands, supported by a strong sales team and wonderful customer service.
